With exciting upcoming events in 2020, the Military Wives Choirs are seeking volunteers to help support our charity from their central office in London.
To support and develop our amazing network of choir members, the Military Wives Choirs, a registered charity that brings all women in the military community (not just wives) closer together and empowers them through singing, have a team of four staff members in the Choirs Support Team. They provide all support services including provision of music, technical support, marketing, financial and fundraising advice and practical support on how to create a successful choir. If you have a passion for choral singing and would love the unique opportunity to develop the support we provide to our network of women, we would love to hear from you!
Alongside the direct support we provide, the Choirs Support Team at Military Wives Choirs also work on a range of projects that offer exciting opportunities to our network of choirs. These projects vary from centrally organised concerts to national media opportunities.
The team are based in SSAFA’s central office in London, just 5 minutes from Monument tube station and we administer support via email, telephone, and often by visiting our choirs around the country.
We are looking for individuals to work on regular administrative tasks that give direct support to the choir network, for up to three days a week, but hours are flexible to suit. The work will support our choirs across the UK and at UK military bases overseas.
We wish to encourage volunteers to work in the areas that are of interest to them, and from which they will benefit. The following duties are therefore a range of tasks that are available for a volunteer to undertake.
If you are interested in volunteering with us, please send your CV and covering letter to info@militarywiveschoirs.org. See the full role description below.
