Choirs Support Administrator
Choirs Support Team, Military Wives Choirs
City of London, full time, c. £25,000
Fixed Term Contract until 31st August 2019
Are you an experienced, organised administrator who relishes a busy environment with a wide range of responsibilities and initiatives?
Would you like to be part of a small team that provides an excellent service to our choir network of 74 choirs and over 2,300 choir members?
The Military Wives Choirs across the UK and overseas aim to improve the well-being of women across the military community through singing.
We’re looking for someone who loves our mission and can be a first point of contact for all enquiries we receive via e-mail, social media and telephone from choir members and the public and will ideally have first-hand experience of being part of the military family.
You will manage our office administration smoothly through organising meetings, data collection, reporting, event management and financial administration, in addition to daily office support.
This is a varied role and it would suit an excellent communicator who is highly organised, can work using their own initiative and likes to be busy. Key to this role is the ability to respond quickly and sensitively to choir members and put their needs first.
This is a fixed term contract based in the City of London with an anticipated start date in January 2019. Some flexible working may be considered.
To apply: Please e-mail a PDF CV and covering letter (2 sides of A4 max) explaining what you think you can bring to this role to firstname.lastname@example.org by midnight on Sunday 23rd December 2018.
Interviews will be held in London on Tuesday 8th January 2019.
For an informal chat about the role in confidence, please contact Melanie Nightingale, Director on email@example.com / 07903 536795

My friend Tilly has always been in the choir and I’ve always followed […]
I first heard of the Military Wives Choir when I watched the documentary on BFBS whilst stationed in The Falkland Islands. I was amazed and astonished at how wonderful it was and wished I could be part of such a fantastic group of women. Little did I know that I would one day be standing […]
Coming from a military family, you would think I would know what to expect as an Army wife, but it just isn’t like that.
I joined Shawbury MWC on its creation in February 2012 and I can honestly say it’s the best decisionI have ever made.
My husband served for 12 years with the Royal Horse Artillery, so I have spent a large portion of my marriage moving from quarter to quarter and from town to town (always around Wiltshire).
Three years ago I learned that I have Parkinson’s disease. I have to admit that I went to a dark place in my life as I struggled to come to terms with my outlook for the future. However I have a wonderful specialist nurse who gave me a key to coping: her advice was simply ‘sing’.
